GAMEDAY: U.S. Faces Canada in Pan-Pacific Title Game

TONIGHT'S GAME
Team USA takes on Canada at HARBORCENTER (capacity: 1,800) in the championship game of the 2016 IPC Sled Hockey Pan-Pacific Championship. The two teams met on Wednesday (March 30), where Canada edged the U.S., 2-1. This is the 10th straight tournament in which the United States has reached the championship game. Tonight’s game will be streamed live on Paralympic.org/Buffalo-2016. 

USA VS. CANADA
This is the third consecutive international tournament and 10th time overall in which the championship game will feature the U.S. and Canada. The U.S. trails Canada in championship game matchups, 2-2-1-4 (W-OTW-OTL-L), but has claimed the last two meetings. 
    Last January, the United States defeated Canada, 3-2, on an overtime goal by Josh Pauls to secure the 2016 World Sled Hockey Challenge title. On May 3, 2015, the two teams met in the gold-medal game of the 2015 IPC Sled Hockey World Championship here at HARBORCENTER in Buffalo, New York, where Team USA blanked Canada, 3-0.

TOURNAMENT LEADERS
Several U.S. players lead the tournament in statistical categories.
    Declan Farmer (Tampa, Fla.) and Josh Pauls (Green Brook, N.J.) are tied for first among all tournament skaters with six points. Pauls ranks first with five assists while Farmer’s four goals are tied for first with teammate Adam Page (Lancaster, N.Y.).
    Additionally, Team USA leads all teams with goals for (17) and shares the lead for fewest goals allowed (2). The U.S. is also the only team to record two shutouts.

TEAM USA TIDBITS TO KNOW
Including last season’s 2015 IPC Sled Hockey World Championship, Team USA forward Adam Page (Lancaster, N.Y.) has now tallied 16 points (9-5) in Team USA’s last eight games at HARBORCENTER in Buffalo, New York, the most of any player ... Declan Farmer (Tampa, Fla.) has tallied a point in every game this season and leads the U.S. with 19 (11-8) points through eight games this season. His 11 goals also lead the team ... Kevin McKee (Chicago, Ill.) leads the team with 11 assists through eight games ... Bo Reichenbach (Billings, Mont.) has yet to allow a goal this season in over 90 minutes of play.
