The U.S. National Sled Hockey Team faces Norway in its final preliminary round game of the 2018 Turin Para Ice Hockey International Tournament. Puck drop is set for 3 p.m. local/9 a.m. ET. A win will give the U.S. the first overall seed entering Friday's semifinal matchups.
All-time, the U.S. is 14-1-2-9-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L-T) in 26 meetings against Norway. Last April, the two teams met in round robin play of the 2017 Para Sled Hockey World Championship, where Declan Farmer (Tampa, Fla.) and Brody Roybal (Northlake, Ill.) both scored three goals each in a 6-0 win.

THINGS TO KNOW
Forward Josh Misiewicz (La Grange, Ill.) leads the team with seven points (2-5) while Brody Roybal (Northlake, Ill.) ranks second with six (4-2). The two sit first and second in tournament scoring ... Captain Josh Pauls (Green Brook, N.J.) took over the U.S. Paralympics instagram account yesterday to show fans a day in Italy with the U.S. National Sled Hockey Team ... Last Sunday (Jan. 21), Jim Johannson, assistant executive director of USA Hockey and the general manager of the 2018 U.S. Olympic men’s ice hockey team, passed away in his sleep at his home in Colorado Springs.

TEAM USA MAKING THE MOST OF ITS TIME IN ITALY
Entering day six of its time in Turin, Italy, the U.S. National Sled Hockey Team as a whole has enjoyed its time thus far. Last Saturday, the team traveled to downtown Turin where some players had the option of visiting the Royal Museums of Turin, shopping at local stores or spending time exploring the city.
Following the team's win against Italy on Monday, several members of Team USA took in an Italian Series A soccer match at Allianz Stadium, home of the Juventus soccer club. The spirited affair ended with Juventus claiming a 1-0 win over Genoa.
"Everyone's been super nice to us here," said forward Brody
Roybal
(Northlake, Ill.) We've had a great time here enjoying the food and enjoying the culture."
"A trip like this is important not just for the competition but for the team bonding," said Guy Gosselin, head coach of the 2018 U.S. National Sled Hockey Team. "We're making the most of every day and enjoying time together as a team."

PAULS TAKES OVER U.S. PARALYMPICS' INSTAGRAM
Yesterday, U.S. captain Josh Pauls (Green Brook, N.J.) took over the U.S. Paralympics instagram account yesterday to show fans a day in Italy with the U.S. National Sled Hockey Team. The day-long takeover included pre-game meal photos, a shot of his locker stall, some team photos and the team's trip to a local gym last night for an evening workout.

FIRST GOALS WITH TEAM USA
In Monday's 6-0 shutout win over Italy, Travis Dodson (Deming, N.M.) and Ralph DeQuebec (San Pedro, Calif.) each tallied their first goals as members of the U.S. National Sled Hockey Team. The two are both in their debut season with the U.S. National Sled Hockey Team after spending time with the U.S. Development Sled Hockey Team the last two seasons.

CASH RETURNS TO TORINO
Goaltender Steve Cash (Overland, Mo.) is the lone member of the 2017-18 U.S. National Sled Hockey Team that was a member of the 2006 U.S. Paralympic Sled Hockey Team that earned a bronze medal at the 2006 Paralympic Winter Games here in Torino. Between this being a Paralympic year and also his first visit back to Torino since those 2006 Paralympic Winter Games, Cash has had some time to reflect on those Games and the excitement of this tournament
