The 2019 Under-22 Series vs. Canada featured the 2019 U.S. Under-22 Select Team in action for a three-game series against Canada Aug. 14-17 in Lake Placid, New York. The team included players selected to represent the U.S. following their participation in the 2019 USA Hockey Women's National Festival in Lake Placid, New York, from Aug. 5-14.
The 2019 U.S. Under-22 Women’s Select Team won the Under-22 Series two-games-to-one over Canada at the 1980 Rink of Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid, N.Y. Captained by 2019 IIHF Women's World Championship gold medalists Cayla Barnes (Eastvale, Calif.) and Sydney Brodt (North Oaks, Minn.) the U-22 squad earned an overtime victory and a regulation win against Canada over the four-day event. With the 2019 series victory, the U.S. holds a 18-4-3-18-2 (W-OTW-OTL-L-T) all-time record in event history.
