Moncton and Halifax, Canada | Dec. 26 - Jan. 5, 2023

The 2023 IIHF World Junior Championship was played Dec. 26, 2022 - Jan. 5, 2023 in Moncton, New Brunswick, and Halifax, Nova Scotia. The coaching staff for the team was announced on April 5 and the final roster was announced on Dec. 16.

The United States, Finland, Switzerland, Slovakia and Latvia formed Group B and played preliminary round games at the Avenir Centre in Moncton. Canada, Sweden, Czechia, Germany and Austria competed in Group A, with preliminary-round games taking place at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax.

The U.S. played its quarterfinal in Moncton and moved to Halifax for semifinal and medal-round play. 

Team USA finished with a bronze medal, its 14th medal all-time in the World Juniors.
