2022 IIHF Under-18 Men's World Championship

Landshut and Kaufbeuren, Germany | April 23-May 1

The 2022 IIHF Under-18 Men's World Championship took place in Landshut and Kaufbeuren, Germany, from April 23-May 1, 2022. The tournament venues included Erdgas Schwaben Arena and Nokia Arena. 

The U.S. competed in Group A alongside Canada, Czechia and Germany, while Sweden, Finland, Switzerland and Latvia will compete in Group B. The U.S. won all three preliminary round games before defeating Latvia in the quarterfinals and Czechia in the semifinal round. 

Despite outshooting Sweden 51-15 in the gold medal game, the U.S. fell, 6-4, and ultimately earned the silver medal. 

Most recently, the 2021 IIHF Under-18 Men's World Championship took place in Frisco and Plano, Texas from April 26-May 6, 2021.
