August 4: Departure Day

Following the final day of action yesterday, the team traveled back home to their respective places. For Cam York and John Beecher, that was just down the road to attend the University of Michigan. For others, the trip was a little bit longer.

Over the course of the showcase, the U.S. finished with four total wins, including winning the final contest against Canada, 5-3. The U.S. got goals from Oliver Wahlstrom, Cole Caufield, K’Andre Miller, Joel Farabee and Ryan Johnson while Spencer Knight was credited with the win.

Caufield led the U.S. with seven points over the course of the showcase, while Farabee, John Beecher, Arthur Kaliyev and Trevor Zegras each recorded five.

Over the next few months, more evaluations will be made before training camp in December prior to the team heading to the Czech Republic for the World Junior Championship. For a wrap up of the camp, watch the video below.
